Gwent Association for the Blind

Supporting Local People with Sight Loss to live Independently
GAB works hard to eradicate the feeling of isolation and loss of independence that can occur when someone loses their eyesight. We have a team of dedicated and skilled workers who aim to help blind and partially sighted people.
The list below outlines some of the services we offer. Click on one of the headings to get more information.
- A Resource Centre with a range of useful aids to daily living.
- Our Newsletter is available on tape, in large print or in Braille.
- Social Clubs in Abergavenny, Abertillery, Blackwood, Newport, Risca, Ebbw Vale, Torfaen, and Tredegar.
- We are agents for the British Wireless for the Blind Fund
We have a great team of volunteers who help us in our work. Please visit our Volunteering page if you are interested in helping and can spare a few hours now and then.
Gwent Association for the Blind needs to raise £150 000 every year in order to continue providing services for visually impaired people in the greater Gwent area. Please visit our Fundraising page to find out how you can help.
